Why Oman?

Oman opened a proper long-stay Investor Residency in 2021 (5 or 10 years) and is progressively liberalising Employment Visa rules through the Ministry of Labour's 'Sanad' and 'Tanfeedh' economic diversification programmes. There is no personal income tax and the Omani rial is pegged to the USD.

Oman's threshold is investment-based (OMR 250k or OMR 500k), and the residency is tied to holding the qualifying investment. UAE's Golden Visa property track has a AED 2M threshold and is tied to property retention. Oman's option covers bonds and Omani companies, not just real estate.

Do I need Arabic to work in Oman?
